Ok guys, here is some REALLY EXCITING NEWS!!! We are now stocking Pinarello road bikes and THE FIRST THREE HAVE JUST ARRIVED! A Rokh, and FP Uno and an FP Uno carbon. Of course, this means we can order any of the range, so now you just need to come and get fitted up......

It was back to MTB racing this weekend at the Gorrick races held at Crowthorne Wood for a few from the club with Reg Pay and Matt Craner both in good form as they both racked up second placed rides in Youth and Supervet categories. Jon Pierce came 4th and Jesse Kelly 19th in the super vets ,Martin Turton 3rd in the sports class , Matt Wood 64th Open class and Mike Burton 50th in the fun class.
In the inter regional cross champs Neil took 45th in a top class field after a mechanical hit Saturday race ruined his chances of a good result.

This is a plea for club members in team kit to come and pay the shop a visit on that day (Sunday 16th). The Tour of Britain road race goes up over Winterfold and then comes out on the crossroads on the main road near the shop, and I am keen to get a bit of club presence out on one of the corners down in Cranleigh to supplement the banners I am intending to put up as well. The race comes through around 2.30 so if anyone wants a chance to see Wiggo and Cav again this year, where I am thinking of setting up has a great view of oncoming riders who will then turn right in front of you at a mini roundabout and go off up the road towards the shop. Let me know if you can make it!!

If enough people respond, we can look at doing a ride in the Surrey Hills after its gone through? (or dash into Guildford to see the finish!) - Straight up the A281 and you are there - the cyclists have to go out the long way via Dunsfold, Chiddingfold, Witley etc so there should be time if we are organised!

Just in, we have a new lot of Trek Mamba's - a great £700 29er hardtail mountain bike, and Cobia's at £850. 29" wheels on mountain bikes have been around for a number of years, but this year they are available on almost all genres of mountain bike. Trek have introduced a highly affordable range of performance 29er hardtails, which offer great stability, traction and control, not to mention comfort, compared to a 26" wheeled counterpart.

An update on the sale bikes currently in stock:
From the Trek range we have road bikes 1.2 triples in 54,56,58 and 60cm in stock ready to go, reduced from £725 to £600, and a 2.3 triple reduced from £1300 to £1100. This is a particularly nice deal as it is a 105 equipped 10 speed bike with Bontrager Race wheels.

For the mountain bikers, we have a smattering of 3500's in various sizes built and ready to go reduced to £250 from £300, and a highly sought after 3900 disc reduced from £420 to £350 in matte blue. We also have an EXCLUSIVE offer on a 6000 in black and white size 19.5, reduced from £800 to £725.
Now is the time for hybrid purchases as the ever popular 7100 is down to £350 from £400, and we have a Bodega from the Gary Fisher Collection at £350 as well, for a slightly more off road slant, whilst still maintaining speed and efficiency on the tarmac.Also in stock are one or two 7200's and 7300's. Navigators have been slashed as well with £50 off the RRP of £475. These are fully equipped with mudguards, rack, chainguard and propstand for the price, so well worth a test ride if you are looking for that comfy upright position without the weight of a dutch bike.
Lastly, ladies, we have a couple of Lexa S compact road bikes, 52cm and 54cm in stock, reduced to £600 from £725. These are a great starter road bike, 9 speed and lightweight. Also, a 14" Skye SL mountain bike sits awaiting a petite rider, reduced from £440 to £375.

Trek still have stock of some models but they are beginning to dwindle now, so don't leave it too long to snap up an end of season deal. Many of you know that we have always stocked a selection of road and hybrid bikes from Specialized, Trek and Scott. I have recently completed 3D bike fitting courses with both Trek and Specialized and will very soon be accredited for both the BG Fit and Trek Fit services. This is all part of a move to increase the number of road bikes on offer and the level of service we can provide in making sure you get the right size and shape of bike, adjusted perfectly to ensure your comfort and efficiency whilst riding. Of course this service will also extend to mountain bikers, although I think that the road cyclists among you will benefit the most. Do drop in for a chat or email me if you are interested.

We are of course always happy to take you out on demo rides where possible, but sometimes we don't have the bike you long to test. Trek and Specialized are both participating (along with Giant) in a Demo Series where you can test any of the range of test bikes they have available against each other, in perfect trail centre conditions. Look out for the new Epic Expert Evo in the shop this weekend - striking in it's black and gold colours, this is a race bike with a difference. Wider handlebars, 120mm travel front fork, and a Command Post ready to drop when needed for those extra technical bits of riding at the push of a lever. This is a different take on the Epic entirely.
